Emission of bad odours, blockages in pipes due to buildup of fats and oils, volatile organic compounds, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide are part of the problems frequently encountered in these cases.
Being a simple, economical and easy to install and maintain system, OLFATECTM dosing is a complete solution for these problems, tested internationally in harsh climates and with different toxicities.

The strategy for odour control in pipes is to control the sulfur balance in sewage.
In wastewater we find amino acids, proteins, urine and a broad spectrum of organic materials which contain mostly sulfur in different forms.
In anaerobic conditions, the sulphur is converted to hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans and inorganic sulphur compounds as the sulphate and sulphur reducing bacteria.
Hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans are responsible for unpleasant odors.
OLFATECTM dosing creates an environment which stops the formation of hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans and promotes the decomposition of these compounds thus eliminating the foul odour.
OLFATECTM is a system that produces the following effects:
Oxidation of sulphur compounds in aerobic and anoxic environments to discourage production of Hydrogen Sulphide gas. This is achieved through creation of an oxidation environment in the biofilms of the aerobic and anoxic biological pathways.
Release of large quantities of enzymes by the indigenous biofilm organisms to denature mercaptans and amines, thus preventing release of pungent Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and rendering the pipeline odourless. This is achieved by providing essential enzyme building blocks via secondary micronutrients, as well as growth factors for biological population enhancement via tertiary micronutrients.
Dissolution of fat and grease blockages via the use of a natural conditioner, followed by degradation of mobilized fats through high enzymatic activity, as described above in point 2.
The Dakarin® Technology is based on the increase and acceleration of the activity of natural microbes. The process consists of a mixture of natural micronutrients, plant extracts, vitamins and bio stimulants, collectively referred to as Dakarin®.
